1. Vierta la Yerba Mate dentro del mate, hasta alcanzar aproximadamente el 80% del mismo.( Fill your mate gourd with more than a half of yerba mate -80% of the gourd-.)
2. Tape la boca del mate, vuélquelo boca abajo y agítelo enérgicamente para que la yerba más fina quede arriba y la bombilla no se obstruya cuando servimos el mate. La yerba
debe quedar inclinada a 45º aproximadamente, de manera que se forme una cavidad
en uno de los costados.( Cover the gourd with your hand, turn it ever and shake it energetically, in order to put the thin yerba mate leaves in the top of the gourd and avoid clogging the metal tube filter (straw). As yor turn the mate back right side up, check that the yerba stays at and angle of approximately 45º so that a cavity is formed on one of the sides.).
4. Humedecerla con una pequeña cantidad de agua tibia, y luego repetir la operación con agua más caliente.( Moisten it with a small amount of warm water, and then repeat the operation with hotter water.)
5. Esperar que la yerba absorba el agua y recién entonces introducir la bombilla en el área
humedecida de manera que quede firme y recostarla contra la pared del mate.( Wait until
the yerba absorbs the water and only then introduce the straw into the mostened
area so that it will be firm and leaning against the wall of the mate).-
6. Servir en pequeñas cantidades, para aproximadamente 2 o 3 sorbos. Servir a una temperatura de entre 70 a 80 ºC y ya está!!! A disfrutar de un buen mate!!! ( Serve it in
small quantities (for 2 or 3 sips). Pou the water at a temperature of 70º to 80ºC.(158º to 176ºF.) And that’s all!!! Enjoy a delicious hot mate !!!)
